DO NOT DELETE Ron's posts! We need people like Ron, who are not afraid to say what they feel. Ron don't let anyone intimidate you. I for one enjoy reading your posts.

hey ron, its not my business..ok, i dont know you
but i agree with randy..
as i also hate sugarcoat and shoe-shine, sometimes we may offense someone because we are not hypocrits and dont mind to say what we think even if it hurts..
well your not forced to love everyone, and to have the same average opinion, sometimes, others need a clear opinion, even if its rough-cutted..
the essential is that you keep according with yourself ...
i prefer be a grouser than a dumb..
i m the worst grouser ever, that knows to apologize sometimes ;) keep grousing, sign of your'e alive and sharp..

Ron, I wish you would reconsider... I've learned a lot from your comments in the short time I've been a member here, as I'm sure others like myself have. We need honest debate and discussion, and I am grateful you've been such an active participant on this board. Many of your posts have really made me stop and think, which is crucial for newbies and elders alike in understanding our great sport, and all its complexities. Please reconsider. Thanks.
Respectfully,
Brian Jackson

Gyroron, bashing is not so bad if through all that you give valuable infos...The sadest situation on this forum, is that many people are lurking only to take... and give nothing...They probably think they are going to be billionnair with their small ideas; but in fact, they are shooting on their feet, because most of the time their ideas are not so good and they are wasting their time dealing with...or, that's a good idea which stays in their own head, and there is no progress for the gyronauts community...

Now you're acting childish Ron, IMO. I don't recall anyone asking you to sugarcoat anything and I think you know me well enough to know that I would be the last one to want you to sugarcoat anything. Just don't twist things, or reword something I or anyone else has said.

I want ALL my posts deleted Please.
Ron,
I certainly can delete all of your posts.
But I'm not gonna do it.
So my answer is NO.

You have in the past, Ron. Do you think it's asking too much of you that you don't change and reword things that others have said and replied to? If you do think that this is asking too much, then the answer would have to be no.
Ron - I don't think anyone wants you to sugarcoat your words. I think the problem was that people did not understand your intentions, or what you were trying to convey. People from different cultures (even within the US) may read the same English sentence and interpret it differently. You don't have to sugarcoat anything; you just have to add another thought process to your writing, and write so people understand what you were trying to say. Am I coming across clear?

Ron,
Hang in there. You add a great deal of value to this forum, and I have also appreciated the feedback you have sent to me by PM.
On another forum I frequent someone made the observation that the number of posts in a thread was directly proportional to the odds that it had turned into a pissing contest.

Ron what is the deal!?! I go away for a few days and you are pulling out?!?
I don't know what pi**ed you off but I hope I did not have anything to do with it. If you pi**ed off someone don't sweat it. I pi** off way more people and I am still here! :)

Ron, In post 16 to this same thread at 12:17 PM your time, you said: Chuck, I wonder when you will figure out that communicating on a keyboard is not the same as person to person, face to face communication.
In my post 20 to the Definition of CLT thread, in reply to your post 19 of that same thread, at 10:43 AM your time, I stated: Remember too, that trying to explain something in print is generally much more difficult than if you were under a shade tree having a cool one together.
Ron, please explain to me how your sentence above is so different than what I posted one and a half hours before?
I am truly sorry Ron, but this is yet another indication as to why certain people are having a problem with some of your posts.
As far as you changing the word crab to sideways, I explained the difference earlier, but yet you're saying that I went all crazy on you over it.
It seems that you are so spoiled that if you can't have things your way, then you'll just take your toys and go home. I know that this is just my personal opinion, Ron, but maybe you need to grow up. You're playing with the big boys here. Many of us are twice your age, and some even more, so naturally we've been around the block a few more times than you have.

Now you're talkin Ron. That sounds more like the big dog Ron. Just remember, Ron, if you run with the big dogs, you can't pee like a pup.
By the way, I never said the big boys were adults, just older boys, who don't want to grow up. We still like to have our fun with you young punks though. Now . . . I'll go and pound some salt, ass hole. :D

You two are both wrong! The correct expression is, "go pound sand!"
Pound Sand
The origin of the expression go pound sand is from a longer expression, not to know (have enough sense to) pound sand down a rathole. Filling rat holes with sand is menial work, and telling someone to pound sand down a hole is like telling them to go fly a kite. The expression dates to at least 1912 and is common in the midwestern United States.
Change "kite" to gyro and we should all go and pound sand!

...sometimes I guess and word I would use in person with a facial expression and some body english...
Man, here's a sweet idea: (open attached, it's cool!) Too bad there isn't an international ASCII body language translator :D
I hear ya though about the phrasing thing. If you think you get hammered, my dad had a hit back in the '80s called "Three Times In Love." During the translation (I forget which language/country) it was translated into "Everybody Farts Three Times In Their Life". Needless to say it didn't score big over there, and plenty of hate-mail followed.
So things could always be worse :)
Cheers,
Brian Jackson

Well Mike don't delete them then. I just wonder if my input to the forum is worth the aggravation that comes with it.
I am not leaving your posts up just to be contrary Ron.
You do have some good posts, and I don't believe that you mean any harm.
So stick around.

I don't see whats wrong with a song saying "Everybody Farts Three Times In Their Life". Some people will send hate mail about anything I guess.

Mike, do you guys know this fellow?
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0901041pig1.html
Nope,
Can't say as I do.
However, he seems to be from up in Northern Louisiana...closer to Mike Morgan's home grounds!. Let's see if he fesses up. :)
I won't make it up to ROC this round, but it's on my hit list. Maybe next year.
Ron,
You need to slow down and think about the repercussions of your comments on the forum. For instance, you give advice very freely about how other people should spend their money, and wonder why they get offended.
They get offended because it's none of your business, yet you keep bringing it up. I personally know one individual you've done this to, and this guy takes a lot of guff before you can get his dander up. Guess what, you've managed to do it!
I don't know Chuck at all, other than from the forum, but you really seem to have hit his hot button. My guess is you know why, so I'll leave that to you two. I used to be like you, free with my advice to everyone, whether they wanted it or not. You know what? A lot of people didn't like me, or my opinions. You know what I learned? Think about what you're going to say, and how will it be received, before you actually say it.
I'm 53 years old, and it took me 40 years to learn a lesson I hope you learn more quickly than I did.
I appreciate the knowledge you impart to people with less experience than you on the forum, so don't quit. But you sound like a spoiled brat when someone calls you on rude behavior. Grow up, and let's all still have fun here, ok?
By the way, I do hope to get to meet you someday. I do admire the talent you seem to have for flying anything that can break ground, since it's all a struggle for me to comprehend, even though I love flying our gyro.
Just my nickel's worth, and don't get your shorts in a bigger knot because of my comments.

Brian that is all I try to do here. Some call the rotorcraft forums a Dick measuring contest between a bunch of knuckleheads. Believe me that is not why I post here. No matter how many posts the post counter says I have, there is many many MANY people on this forum that have flown gyros longer than I have had a drivers license. Also never forget I have only been involved with gyroplanes since early 2001, so that is only a little over 3 years. Before 2001 I didn't know the first thing at all about gyroplanes.
I don't post here to gain something out of it. I don't try to argue with Chuck or Stan or Birdy or whoever to make them look bad and me look good. I just speak whatever is on my mind with as little sugarcoating as possible. I only try to show a counter point when I think one is needed to help the new guys like yourself Brian.
Well Ron say what you want about only flying gyros since 2001, but I will be honest, I have been into rotorcraft since 1982,messing with differnt projects and such, most not finished as someone always wanted them more then I did at the time.,but what I am getting at, is in all those year you are the only one I met that has flown one cross country like you have,I mean anyway you look at it, Aiken airport is a long way from where you live, and you flew in with the 2 seaters that day I met you. now what people need to know is the flight path Ron had to fly takes you over some places you do not want to have a power out landing, lots of tall trees and wooded area where you would be lucky to be found if you went down in them. even my Helicopter instructior did not like to fly his Hughe over those areas.
So you have earned my respect as a top notch gyropilot I am not sure the mileage, but I am sure it was over 100 miles one way.
anyway keep posting even if you do ruffle some feathers, But I am still going to play with my Scorpions... :D who knows I may even get one to fly..lol

Ron, I love it when you advertize a gyro, and you honestly have me in tears laughing at the see saw between you and Chuck. Besides that if you leave who will take your place in the pecking order, not me. Thats why I choose the name friendly. I saw how bad you got shot up and wanted to duck some of the flying (you know what). Hang on its only funny because we like you like family.
