View Full Version : Flying in Northern Colorado
The mornings are geting pretty cold in Northern CO, but today we had a perfect morning for flying. I can't compete with New Zeland, but here are a few pictures from my playground.
The lighting was so perfect I had to take a few pictures of my gyro on the ground.
These are the neighborhoods just west of my airport, as I am heading towards the hills (mountains, for you guys from the east coast).
The open fields are becoming a scarce commodity in the front range of the Rockies.

Udi: Nice pictures...what a view. Colorado is my favorite state.... :)

Climbing to 6500 to have a good visibility of Horsetooth reservoir in the next valley. You can see it in the distance.
Some people build their houses right on top of the ridges. Must have pretty good views... The last picture shows my town - Fort Collins.

Udi,
Thanks for the great pics. Makes me homesick.
I can't wait to get home to Colorado and my new gyro. Less than a month now.

Experiencing these views from an open frame gyro, Rob, is very different than from an airplane. Flying low and slow is wonderful. I hope you would come out and fly with us, because I can't fly to you. I don't have a transponder...
Have a good trip back to the US.
