OK, so I'm just an old fashion fuddy-duddy! I can't help it.

I have a used set of plans for the Dominator single place. I will not sell them. These plans are Ernie's intellectual property. He spent years developing the design, prototypes and drawings. He has every right to recieve payment. Once you see and study the details you can understand.

The purchase of a set of plans licence you to build one machine (and replacement parts) They are not public domain. If we trample over the designers rights, why should designers even bother to develope new designs?

As to your payment problems, why not simply send him a postal money order? That's what I did.

Just my personal thoughts on the matter.

Send Ernie a US dollar Draft for the price of the plans and shipping every bank sells them. Get the plans and the build manual.

Just to make things more clear (for myself mostly): I recently purchased such a set of single Dom plans and didn't find any note about ONE machine limit in them. Did I missed something?

Brun, in this instance you may be correct. Over the years I have reviewed so many plans for experimental aircraft, seen the limit so many times. I possible just THOUGHT I saw the usual "boiler plate" copyright. But never the less, I still respect the designers intellectual property rights and have some moral reservations about selling used plans before they are released into public domain.:yo:

BTW; Many plans I have seen are serial numbered and register logged upon purchase. Out of "idle curiousity" I will review the plans and instructions later. (I haven't examined them in several years.)
:peace:

BoneyM .

You probably already know but some others that read here dont,so at the risk of repeating ,just a reminder .
Where we are from the Dominator gyro is not an experimental aircraft .

I am trying to decide which machine to build, I am not trying to Steal, anyone's design, old fashion, I would like to see how most machines go together, trying to keep an open mind here, I weight 274 pounds and I need something that's going to do the job Ernie told me on the phone that he had a single dominator with a 324 pound man on it running a 503 engine, I personally thought that was a little short on motor but what do I really know.
As for your used copy, didn't you buy this copy, why would Ernie have any say to what you sell, I mean he sold you this copy its yours to do with what you like, your not changing the prints, and neither would I.
I did ask Ernie about his bank draft thing, but that's a no go either, maybe its because I live in Canada, I don't know, we don't have the RAF2000 machine here anymore, and I think there less than 10 pilots here that fly gyro's.
I am simply looking to buy a copy "used" or "new" Dominator single plans.
