Was going to go down to the Briar Patch today to visit Maxie Wildes and the rest of the " Boyz " But decided not to go due to possible bad weather. Got a call from another friend about a fly in near Southern Pines N.C. today so a bunch of us flew over. Turns out the fly in was a Airshow by the CAF. Lot's of old Warbirds and other cool planes. So here is some pics, Enjoy.
This first couple are of my Pacer sitting on the grass runway, a cloud shots on the way over, and one of Mike as he is coming out of a loop in his Skybolt - he is barely visable in the pic -

This is my friend Barrys plane. He just bought it, It is a Giles 202 all carbon fiber experimental unlimited class aerobatic plane. This thing is just too cool to describe! The throttles are little skulls, and the paint job is like a Sci-Fi movie theme. The plane is called Primal Fear....

A few pics of some cool old classic cars. And one of a Russian Ural motorcycle with side car - I had one just like it about 2 years ago.

More warbirds. Most of them had big round engines that make the sweetest sounds flying by.....

Chris that was before he bought it. But yes that is the same plane. This is the same Barry that I let fly my red Dominator a while back, who had never had any previous gyro experience. He is a talented natural pilot and a good friend.

Wow, Ron those were some planes. I bet they made your little piper feel small....
That is some serious hardware there though. I had no idea we had that many planes like that in the state.

Ron: Nice display of aircraft. That Pacer of yours is a sharp looking plane and is getting a good workout. There is a Piper Colt at our airport that is a cute plane also but the owner only flies it twice a year......
