Looked like there were a few cars piled up behind the Skycycle. Were they piling up due to speed & waiting to pass, or were they just gawking?
What's the groundspeed?

All of the above. Driving in Texas is just like that, the road is kinda city street.
I am happy!!!

Very, very cool. This is as close as you can get to a James Bond type vehicle!
All you would have to do is drive it down to the local TV station (national affiliate) and show up in the parking lot!
Then I'd get one of my dealers to fly it across the country doing the same at each major city staying long enough to take local orders before flying and driving on to the next!

Easy there All IN, we need to get people trained and have a regular delivery schedule.
But Larry knows best!

The Super Sky Cycle with the AIXRO XR50 engine and geared the way it is on this model would be capable of speeds above 70 mph. However, Larry is a conservative fellow and he has suggested it not be driven over 60 mph. By limiting the rpm's you allow the engine to achieve, you effectively de-rate the power put out by the engine and will increase the time between overhauls and make the engine last longer. The engine dealer said they are seeing engines run hundreds of hours between overhauls, while being run flat out and wide open all the time. (engine was designed for go cart racing) but kept below 7,000 rpm's he said they should run over 1,000 hrs between overhauls. Time will tell, but this is a very promising engine.
The aircraft / motorcycle is obviously going to be more stable at lower speeds and provide a bigger safety margin. So he will tell you the SSC is designed to go down the road at 60 mph or less. This seems reasonable speed to me.
