Don't see where this could be done.

Ron,

Like Norm's forum, there is no function to upload a file, only the ability to create links to files located elsewhere. *I will probably look into a file system to handle images, but that may not be for awhile.

If you have your images sitting on a server somewhere and can get the link, then use the buttons on the toolbar.

The second button in with the globe is for a link:
http://www.flytapco.com/dominator/634tp.jpg

The little picture button will insert an image, but you must still provide the html address:
http://www.flytapco.com/dominator/634tp.jpg

I'm learning just like everyone else right now. *;D *If anyone understands it better than me, please reply.

Todd

I don't know... I have a friend who uses this same " brand " forum for ATVs in our area

www.atvnc.com

and they used to have to do weird stuff to get pics to go on threads but now they have it set up like Norms forum where you can attach them one at a time.

I have no server only my images on my computer.

Ron,

Thanks, I know the board is capable of all kinds of things, It will just take awhile to figure it out. I really like some of the features he's using.

Much to learn.

Todd

Todd,

you may want to request that photos be kept to a reasonable file size (not a 500Kb gif when 20K jpeg will do, for example), otherwise bandwidth charges may get out of hand.

You may be able to set a limit in the forum software, or just make that suggestion to the posters.

Guys, if the phtos, videos, other big files are located on other sites and just linked here, viewing them won't be on Todd's bandwidth tab.

Todd,
Great forum.
I have the problem that I am not forum literate, so I have the following questions.

What is the little symbol and the words IP Logged at the bottom right of each post?

The forum appears to take time switching between headings and opening threads, in comparison to Norm's which is almost instant as soon as you click on it - is this normal?

Is it possible on this forum to limit picture sizes to say 50kb because of the impractical download time of larger files? Currently I ignore posts with large picture files simply because I do not have enough time to download and view them all daily on four different forums.

Is it possible to make the pictures viewable as attachements only to save opening time on the thread?

On the subject of pictures, I still cannot come to grips with "posting a pic". Call me dumb if you like, *but I would not call the system of "posting a pic" user friendly.
Would it be possible to have an "Attach a File" command that opens up a "Browse" window?

If not how would I post a picture given that my picture is located in "My Documents" then "My Pictures" then "Gyros" and then the picture number eg. "DCP 0829.jpg" ?

Keep up the good work in developing this new Forum.

How can I get the picture posted above to be the "profile" picture. I can't seem to get the right address put in. Could you take the above picture of Muttley and put it in the profile area?

Thanks if you can and if not I will continue to try and find a good adress to get it from.
