I think we can all accept that a CLT gyroplane is safer in flight than a HTL.
I have the conversion info from Air Command to convert the 447 to CLT, However, the changes are significant enough to eliminate the possibility of flying the gyro as an ultralight.
Has anyone just completed part of the conversion? Specifically, has anyone just rotated the Rotax engine upright portion of the conversion? This portion of the conversion moves the weight of the engine above the prop thrust line while not changing the prop thrust line relation to the pilot. It would create a "more CLT" condition.
Does the landing gear still need to be moved back to maintain ground handling characteristics ? Or does the landing gear need to move back mainly to account for relocating the pilot in the complete conversion ?
