The machine pictured belongs to a friend of mine who will not be able to fly again due to heart problems.
He has asked me to find a good home for it and a trailer.
The price is $2500 (not negotiable).

Sure wish I had $2500.00 What engine is it using, any blades with it? I think that might be a great buy for someone.

Yes, it has blades, and that's a Mac engine.

Yeah Ron, good idea! I could pull my machine over there and maybe push that one, huh? :D
Ron, do you know anyone who might like to go to the Bastrop, Louisiana fly-in the weekend of 9-10 to 12? It will be a good one with all the Louisiana and Arkansas boys, and a couple from Mississippi there.

Ron that is an air cooled motor, no radiator problems like those soobs. Please buy it before I go to Bastop on the 11th. I am gyro poor.

Mark, I would go through the carb, replace fuel tubing and just check everything throughly before I started it up. It's been sitting in a barn for the past two years.

Why do I have to buy every gyro someone puts up for sale here Guys??? :) I wouldn't mind seeing it and maybe buying it, Sure would like to experience a Mac powered machine.
Don't know that I am up for two days on the road for the fly in Chuck. Would like to go but I am too busy with work and other local flyins to plan on it at this point.
And for bringing it to ROC I think both gyros will fit on your trailer. I trailered two Dominators on my old 6 by 14 foot open trailer and had no problems. Had both gyros sitting at a angle.
Chuck what is the condition of the prop. Lot of times a wood prop will rot over time. What about the blades and pre rotator. Tell me more. The pic is not very good to see these things.

Oh yeah also tell us more about the trailer.

Hello Ron,
I got a phone call last night from someone who said he wants it.
Since I have not seen it for quite some time, I am going to check it out this morning to assure myself that it's in the condition that I think it is so that I don't misrepresent it to anyone.
If, for some reason, that caller decides he doesn't want it, I'll let you know. If you look at the pic again though, there is no pre-rotator. The trailer is a modified boat trailer.

I just got back from taking a good look at the machine. It is a lot better than I remembered. I really like the design and construction. The machine was built by Ron Iaconis, and based on what I saw this morning, he is a very good builder.
The worst thing about it is the blades. They are flyable, but rough looking and need a good cleaning. I personally would have no problem flying the machine as is and with those blades. If I were a total newbie and bought it, I would be looking for a good used set of blades, but would not install them till I was proficient with the machine. In other words, these blades are perfect for a beginner, IMO.
The engine has good compression and feels like it is supposed to. It could use a good paint job. The fuel lines are still plyable and appear to be in good shape. I would replace them anyway.
All the bearings in the rotor head feel like they are supposed to.
The prop has one indentation in it which won't hurt it's performance. It's a 50", 2 blade, laminated wood prop that could use refinishing, but will perform well as is. It is as solid as a new one.
The tail, that I thought was made out of plywood, is made of some very stiff, but lightweight material that looks sort of like Formica. The tail has paint coming off of it, but is very impressive. Excellent construction.
Some of the springs and chains are a little rusty. It needs a 2 foot piece of brake cable. Basically, the machine needs a good cleaning and some TLC. I would have no problem flying it as is.
I weighed the machine with a pair of bathroom scales under the three loaded wheels. Along with all the components, including the rotor, the total weight was 252 pounds.
My overall opinion: It's a first class home build machine, and appears to be true CLT.
50 bucks worth of parts, a little time with it, and it could be air worthy, IMO.
