Discovered this gyro in a hanger in Oakland,Ca in 1984. Anyone know what it is and if it ever went into production?

Hi, Allan.
Please refer to this site:

I hope it helps.

Thanks...that clears up a 20 year mystery. Here's a couple of other shots of another gyro under completion in the same hanger. I remember there were stacks and stacks of new...STILL in the crate 72 and 90 Macs laying around on the hanger floor!

That second one is strange (Jucie nailed the first one...). #2 looks like it was designed to have a tractor engine, but behind the pilot. Dunno what advantage that would have. Looks like a machine that would have been very CG-sensitive to pilot weight and height, if it ever flew.
As far as Macs in crates on the hangar floor -- good place for them! They can't hurt anybody like that.
cheers

Engine cooling?
(I think this thread would fit better under "Rotorcraft/General Discussion".)

first one is AVIAN 2 /180: one of the very few prototypes which have flown! a MARVEL, the best gyroplane ever made!...

I could sure use one of those mac engines also. Any idea if for sale, contact numbers, e-mail, anything? Thanks in advance.
