This is the latest update page on the UFO website. Has anyone flown one of these or even eyeballed one? Do the claims sound legitimate? Just lurking and curious.

"It is capable of flying 600 miles on one fill at the "regular" petrol pump and that is with a 1 hour fuel safety margin. That may not be what you want to do, but it could save your life, with such endurance you should never come close to running out of fuel."
This blurb from their website is what puts it in the "yeah....right!" category for me. They're claiming 700 miles on one tank at 100 m.p.h.
"Yeah....right!" again. 1500 FPM climb rate..at 90 m.p.h.!!?? Once more.

I exchanged mail with Tony Neal for quite some time, and he always said: we are moving the factory and can not acommodate your requests.
After some back and forth I wanted to go see an UFO anywhere in the world that was flying so my friend in Brazil could know for sure they existed (he wanted one)
Than I send in this proposal, we (5 guys) want to buy one, bring it to the US, get it together, tweek it, and show in the major fly-ins, that is free advertisement . . .and you only have to do is this: have one ready for pick up without the waiting period, we pay and ship it!
NOthing!

The Australian Rotorcraft Assn. Gyro News last month had two photos from NZ showing the UFO's. Supposedly there is one here in Australia flying. I will see what I can find out.

Frank Diebold, from up Montana way, has a UFO. He brought down to the Copper State fly-in last year. The only real problem he reported was that he was having some trouble with the Subaru & was going to have somebody look over his wiring harness.
Frank was pretty happy with its performance, though I don't remember any numbers...assuming he ever bothered to measure any. The only "quirk" that I remember was that it yawed to one side during low power approaches. Frank talked about putting some vortex generaters at the wide point of the cabin to try & correct this.

I have a feeling that Frank might have better success tying the vortex generators into a kite tail and adding it to the rear of a UFO.

Where is Frank Diebold at up Montana way? I'd love to go check that machine out in the flesh and blood if Frank is amiable to it. Might even give a report here. Is he in the rotorcraft directory magazine?

I think Frank lives in Bozeman, though I know he travels around a bit. I think he's a PRA member, so he should be in the directory (mine's buried somewhere, or I'd look it up for you). If not, I'll see if I can get a contact for him. He seemed to be a pretty easy going guy, the times I've talked with him, so he'd probably be pleased to hear from you.
