I have been behind the scenes trying to push helicopters into the PRA magazine. I know they are interesting ....as just look at the number of hits ANY helicopter topic gets.
I was at Homer Bells and was talking to Rick Gilley...our PRA editor that is doing such a fine job for us. He asked me if I could write up an article about Homer Bells...and send in some pictures. Later I captured Mark Whistler doing an awesome quick stop with his Helicycle and I had my camera at its highest resolution! Can we say potential cover shot for a PRA magazine? Well...thanks to Rick Gilley.....he is keeping his promise and its going to press for the next issue.
I called Mark Whistler and he was ecstatic...so much he signed up as a new PRA member so he could get one of those magazines.
I see nothing but a big turn around in this organization...and all it takes is some enthusiasm from its members. I am interviewing Mark and his build and flying experiences with his Helicycle. Mark now has the highest time in a Helicycle as of a few weeks ago. He is at 390 hours now.
Talking with Mark and his glowing testimony of his experiences with the Helicycle....is starting to make me get anxious to get into mine next year.
