Its not the first time I've flown it, but the third. Its running great. It was a true geek air delivery. I brought them a DVD burner and set it up and installed then then flew back home.

The video is shaky at first but gets better.
Oh. How do some of you get the high resolution option to pop up under youtube videos? Is it because of the format of the original upload. I converted mine to avi with xvid video (mpeg4) and mp3 audio BEFORE uploading it and it didn't show up as an option.
I generally despise embedded video embedded in web pages like quicktime and youtube videos. I prefer an avi or mpg download I can use in the viewer of my choice at the size of my choice but I doubt anyone wants to download this and keep unless your just a packrat. But I think its cool because its really the first video of myself that showed a landing or takeoff with me at the controls. I actually could critique my landings if I had more of them hehehe.

WHoops.. guess I was too quick on the high quality question. The first two times I watched it it didn't have that option. I guess it was still getting that option ready. Its there now.

Geeze you geek, you did it by accident? :0 Crap it took me 2 weeks to get the video off the camera!
I still have miniDVD video that I can't do anything with! but watch on TV.
Glad you are back in the air...how does it compare to the Hirth?

Scott.. call me and I can help with the camera issues. Anytime day or night.. its the least I can do after all the advice for the Soma!!!
Its quite a bit more powerful. 2 degrees more in the prop is testament to that and I still may add another 1/2 to a full degree. I instinctively am pulling back on the throttle slightly at take off because it comes off so quick.
Animal.. that is the front yard of a guy I work with. I set up a shared wireless network for about 5 houses there. All of them were out in the yard when they heard I was coming to work on a couple of their computers. He had been begging me to fly over instead of drive for the last year each time I was over working on the systems. He always stopped me and said "the field is mowed short the next time we need you!". The weather or timing just never worked out before this past weekend.

Heheh..I just got home and watched it for the first time with sound. Nobody told me the sound was screwed up. Thats what I get for doing the conversion at work where I couldn't turn on my sound for fear of being found out spending so much time the last few days on the forums.
I'll re-encode it and upload a new one tomorrow and change the link.

Congratulations on getting back in the air. I was impressed with how quiet it was. I upload my videos to youtube as wmv. If you upload it as an avi then youtube will process the quality down.

I just updated the video to one with sound. I know my flying isn't exciting, I just buzz around and *** I *** have fun doing it!!!
BUT, you have to listen to this thing to hear some of the comments in the background. Its Hilarious. I wish I would have proof "listened" before posting the original and I would have heard it was pooched. But regardless, this one is working now.

There is going to be 1 of 2 outcomes from these flights.
1. You have the coolest neighbors in the world and they think it is cool.
2. Your going to get a visit from the FAA or local Police.
There is always 1 neighbor that has a problem.
Good luck, and great video. !

Thats what is so great about that little enclave of houses right there. They are all relatives and I do all of their computer work! hehehe
Quite a few acres between them all with 7-8 acres in the little field I landed in and good egress and exit from the side I came in on. Every house in the video is one of the relatives houses that were expecting (and asking ) me to fly in.
I was more worried about someone half a mile away on the other side of a tree line see me go down and think I crashed and then call 911.
BTW.. are you going to Wrens??????
