I purchased a set of 25 foot DWs back in about '90, flew an indescribably fun coupla hundred hours on them and then hung them in my garage for about 15 years. They have surface corrosion, nothing that can't be polished out, but how is the adhesive affected over time/heat cycling? My garage can get to about 120* in the summer.

Call Ernie and ask him.

Hey Tim,
I called Ernie, he said I've got "the blades that hung in the garage the longest" award.
He thinks they will be fine, said the adhesive should be expected to last indefinitely.
He gave me polishing advice as well. They should shine like new soon.
Me and Earthboundmisfit will soon no longer be bound.

I had a roll over accident when I was first learning to fly my dominator.
What amazed me was how the dragon wings came apart. I don't know how old the blades were, but it seems as if the adhesive had become yellowed with age. The skins peeled back like banana skins as you can see in this photo I took with my video camera. I ordered new 25 ft'ers from Ernie.

Hi Al, I've seen that a few times myself.... I had some sky wheels split kinda like that. Did you feel that the adhesive was weakend? Did you try and peel any of the still bonded sections?

Lee, at the time I didn't think to do much investigating. I just threw the blades in the dumpster.
