Gentlemen, after taking my first flight over a couple miles from the airport (appx 30) and making it almost all the way back, I find I am in need of a new McCullogh 72 #3 cylinder jug. I found aluminum deposits on my plugs and found my cylinder chrome plating flaking.

Alternatively, I would be interested in a whole replacement engine of either 72 or 90, beggars not being choosers. I would hope it wouldn't cost more than a replacement jug from R&D. Anybody know of any old engines laying in the dirt anyplace? Didn't Rick Whittridge have one for sale awhile back?

Any posts welcome.

After getting a ride to the airport from the farmer whose hay field I landed in I was told by the airport manager I needed to find a new place to keep my gyro since the new hangar renter wanted me out, I may just sell the whole kit and kaboodle and put the money towards my nursing education and buy a sparrowhawk like Kenny J. after the goose lays the golden egg.

By the way, if you don't have it I will recommend on your new Mac, Rick's CDI system, Ask him about it. That is the "Mac Atack" solution

I do not know if they still have it but J-Bird in Wisconsin, had a 72hp MAC for $490.00 in the last catalog they sent me. Their phone# is 262-626-2611.

That's about what I'm looking for. Can't see paying as much for a cylinder as a whole engine, and I know there out there time to time. My buddy in Boise has three spares but doesn't want to part with one. Hmmmm, what does he know that I don't?

I called the number but no answer, will try again tomorrow. Thanks again.
