After weeks of very hot and windy gusty weather, we finally had some rain and things cooled off a bit. It was a perfect afternoon to fly.

1 - The Sign Says it All
2 - Down the Runway
3 - Looking Down the Valley Towards Spokane. Ellerport is about 15 Miles East of Spokane towards Idaho.
4 - Looking back towards Ellerport and Newman Lake in the Background
5 - North end of Hauser Lake - Another small lake nearby
6 - Links Golf Course
7 - Day at the Races
8 - Houses along the shore of Newman Lake

1 - Not alot of landing spots here...its not as bad as it looks :)
2 - Ultralight strip that I land on occasionally. It looks smooth...but its not, it'll rattle your teeth loose.
3 - Low pass along the ultralight strip
4 - My Camera Ship

Nice, lots of big trees too! I like trees but not to fly over.

Todd, All firefighters have a sideline. Picture postcards might be in your future. You live in a very beautiful place. Nice pictures,
Thanks!

Great pix! Couldn't help looking up that great-looking area of yours on Google Earth. Guess where this is. 20121

Yep, thats the place. A great place to fly now that things are warming up. I hate to be missing Bensen Days, but will hopefully get some flying in here this week.

Thanks Todd. On the Google Earth image, the elevation at the coordinates of the airport is 2148'. On the airport sign (your first picture), it is listed as 2146'. Can't belive the accuracy!! Yah, I should have bought some of G.E.'s stock. Too late now.

Looks like the area east of Spokane. I was stationed at Fairchild AFB, Washington. We used to go out to the remote radar site east of Spokane about once a month. Great country!!!

Spent most of my weekends in the Falls View Tavern. (The falls were just across the street, thus the name.)

One of these days, the rain will stop down this way and I can go flying again. Here it is april and it's still raining. Way strange. Normally dry and in the 80's by now.
