The 54dB figure caught my attention. The site didn't really give many specifics to weight, horsepower, etc.

If you notice, he's looking for investors or partners to help him get going, so It's probably at a very early stage and he's strapped for R&D bucks. M-B engines in general are great engines though. I've seen those little cars in Greece, and I doubt that they need much h.p. to tool around, so the engine will probably be best in smaller gyros. I do wonder what that plane it's in weighs though. They refer to it as an Ultralight if I read it correctly. Well....maybe not. The plane is a brand new design and it is a 2-seater, so who knows? They have a .pdf graph showing "Power" and "Torque," with the power peaking at 60 at about 5200 rpm. I don't know if this is h.p. or not. I flew an Avid flyer with 2 aboard on a 43 h.p. Cuyuna....when it would run without puking in-flight. The torque peaks at 110 at about 2200 rpm and stays flat to full rpm, which they show as 6,000 rpm, but the power and torque peak earlier than that.

This is the website of the german airplanes that are using the engine.

Looks that they are popular over the Atlantic. If you look in the second hand section, you will find airplanes with many hours of flying TT for sale.

Well, on this 2nd site they're touting better performane than the Rotax 912, so one of the engines must have substantial h.p. I know their planes will be of utmost quality, because their manufacturing partner is in Poland.
Hey, go to the Ecofly link. There are some awesome pics of them flying all over the world, including to Morocco, the U.S. and Brazil. Tons of beautiful photos and 4 videos. This was when they were still running Rotax', so no poop on the Benz engine.
