Nice video, liked the music too. I guess that is one way of getting up and airborne but seems to me a gyro is so much more compact and probably far more agile.

This was done here in Australia many years ago by a Gyke instructor. Only difference was he could then convert it BACK into a gyro by adding long swept back cheek plates fitted with head and complete with "A" frame overhead control.
The biggest issue I see with such a design as the one in the movie is Yaw. During a large amount of yaw input by pilot or weather, the machine will yaw but the wings natural design feature is to correct itself during such a yaw. (this is due to the sweep back wing design) This would place exessive twisting force on the wing attachment point and its hardware. (not good)
I would also guess that the machine in the video has a fixed HS? if not then another possible control issue due to the wings natural ability to correct itself during a pitch disturbance. (due to the swept back trailing tips of the wing)
