Any more info other than the video?
--- "Sprinkaan" can either be Dutch or Afrikaans, meaning a grasshopper.
--- The background seems as if this video was taken in the interior of South Africa.

I would like to know more about the giro.

...and yes, they are from South Africa --- the co.za tells me so.

They have a few ideas spinning around. Like the cricket (looks like an Avid Flyer with rotors) that really flies and the Sprinkaan. (You Tube link above)
