Note: after a few hours a "watch in high quality" mode will be available.
click on this text in the bottom right under the video window and "views".
I will post a HD-DVD video quality version of this and the rest of the Mentone Video footage at http://gyrowiki.com in the video section in a few days.
I have alot more video footage from Jim Allison who professionally videotaped everything happening on the flightline Thursday and Friday.
Let me know what you want to see and I will convert it, edit it and post it here, on YouTube and on the GyroWiki.
Thanks!

That was cool! No one got to see the slalom race did he shoot that?
I know you do so much Tim. I hate to even ask but could you also post the YouTube link to PRA TV so we can find them by make, model, event, pilot, etc.
Here's the link http://usedjewelry.net/YouTube.asp much easier to find exactly what I'm looking for and we won't loose them.
If no time left I understand, I'll start trying to do it as you post but I don't really know the pilots, makes, or models like you do.

Tim,
How about putting together a DVD and make it available?

We would like to sell those on PRA's new storefront, yours too Tim C.
I'll throw in PRA-TV's program only written for stand alone use on any computer that will allow you to organize it in the same way.
You guys have the best ideas! What a team!!!
PS:
As soon as I got your DVD Tim C I was going to write you a program to display it like PRA-TV anyway!

Also:
Stan has just sent me a box of video tapes of old fly-ins that I'm going to digitize and Stan has donated this to PRA to also sell on the storefront!
Stan what are they of again?

I don't recall seeing the pylon race but it might be in there.
I will be happy to post them PRA TV.
I have not had time to post them to the GyroWiki yet and that is in the next room! So, please bear with me. I am trying to get the footage edited while I have everything in front of me. I work on the file management when I am done with the cutting and spicing.
Tim,
How about putting together a DVD and make it available?
Good idea. I will be happy to burn all of the edited videos I make on to a DVD.

John, since I am not the videographer, just the computer and edit guy I have to get permission from Jim Allison and Doug Gaudette before we can put anything up for sale. I will ask them.

There aren’t many helicopters that can do a hovering autorotation from 20 feet and not have to be swept up and hauled off in bushel baskets afterward.
Says volumes for both machine and pilot.

John: I sent you 11 video tapes. They were all taken by Bill Finnegan at Bensen Days, ROC, and Mentone....Lots of good video.
Stan
That's impressive. Hovering autos at that height and collective only flight at that height. I'd say machine and pilot are both above average.
I doubt that I would watch it in person....it made me nervous watching the vid. Crowds, cameras, and so on.

Yes the first time I saw him in person do it form that height. I turned to Stan and asked. "Did he do that on purpose?" But then he went right back up and did it again and again. Dang he's good!

I hope Stan's efforts to bring more Experimental Heli people into our community increases the number of heli people attending Mentone, BDays and KBFliyins.
