A lot of discussion has been made about what to do to increase the awareness and interest in the PRA and about the gyro in general.

Well just finished re-reading a e-mail that I recieved from my friend Bob Gregory that contained info on a neat little new fixed wing that is being put out by Valley Enginering in Rolla, Mo.

Now as I see it down in our little niche of the world there are several types of aircraft all trying to get our interest, like the Powered Parachute, the trike and a varity of UL fixedwing craft and our gyro's.

Each having some advantages and disadvanages, (costs, performance, ect). Now I have considered the trike to be our most serious competitor, at least until I saw this video on You Tube at www.culverprops.com/back-yard-ul.php this plane is going to put some serious hurt and competition on our gyros when it comes to costs and performance. We had better start to get some really short take off numbers.

Yeah, but it doesn't have rotors.

Still can't do what a gyro can. Some of us don't fly gyros because they are cheap...heck...some gyros aren't even cheap!

I just sold a fixed wing because I never flew it! (put lots more time on the gyro every year!)
