Good morning Rotorheads and wantobies (like me)!!
WE STILL NEED more Content Managers and another Webmaster to work with me!
I screwed that up too. :lalala: Tom didn't volunteer for the Webmaster's position only being a content manager for two sections and we need more of them and will announce your chance to help find cool stuff to post and help us grow PRA soon.
After actually reading the Webmaster description that was posted all this time on our Server and someone was kind enough to help and send me a link and I realized many of the duties are being a real Webmaster not just a content provider. I’m still learning.
I volunteered to be the Webmaster for PRA and need someone to be my partner in crime and learn, train, and work with me to take over when I travel for months at a time.
Otherwise I will be leaving a huge hole every time the sea calls to me to explore.
Here is the full job description:
I’m going to PM ED. Ed are your ears burning? I know ED has programming skills and has already stepped up to be a real man and offer to help rewrite the software in PHP so he has way more skills that are needed.
Here the full Job Description:
1. Organize and design site and pages for efficient and attractive presentation
2. Coordinate with Editor to update Preview page and links
3. Coordinate with the Chapter Coordinator to update CHAPTER and EVENTS pages and links
4. Coordinate with the Training Coordinator to update Instructors listings and links
5. Coordinate with the Secretary, and other volunteers to update Convention information pages and links, including:
• Daily Schedule of Events
• Forum Schedule
• Judging and Awards
• Lodging
• Convention site arrangements
• General information and directions
===
As you can see much of it is just coordinating with other PRA members and pasting their articles into a program in Joomla. (Joomla is like an auto Web page writer, manager, editing program. Such like a word processor.)
And few know it yet but I have all ready written many programs that will automated this coordination in the future by allowing them to fill out a web-page doing 90% of coordination and the real work for us by just filling out the Event description and then schedule the days program for example. So most of our personal labor we have to do today will disappear over time except for maintaining the Website with me.
