Many have noticed that the forum has been running much slower the last few days. I'm almost certain it is a problem with the server company I am using since they mentioned there have been some problems. However I changed the forum for a couple of reasons.

I upgraded from a program called YaBB Gold to a program called YaBBSE.

The MAJOR Difference is the old forum stored the messages as individual files and the system was a .cgi based system. I am told that the .cgi systems are very resource intensive and can bring a server to its knees very quickly.

The new forum uses an SQL database system for storing the member information and posts...much more modern, faster and safer. Plus the system is a .php system which is supposed to be run faster and be less resource intensive on the server.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. You might notice that your profile information / Avatar files may be messed up, but other than that I haven't seen many problems.

Some of the modifications I had installed on the other forum I have not yet setup on this one:

1. More profile options
2. Quick reply box
3. Calendar

I will be getting these options back up and running shortly.

I appreciate everyone's patience. This forum business has been a real learning experience for me. I'm slowly getting it right, I just seem to be taking the most difficult path there. ;)

One small problem we may have:

If your user name was two word, such as first and last name:

Todd Powell

It Might require an underscore between them now:

Todd_Powell

to Log In.

Please let me know about any problems.

WOW! F-A-S-T!! Thanks.

Now, just how much time, effort and money is this costing you? I know that you are probably doing most of this simply out of the love of doing it, but is there something that we can do to help out?
