I just upgrade my Bensen with a KB seat tank , but I have a problem. The seat tank doesn't fit on the original seat mounts. If I mount the upper back plate into the top engine mount plate (were the top engine mount hold with the mass) then the bottom base of the the seat tank( the bottom "U" tube of the seat tank is on the air for about 1/2" from were it supposed to laid . If I mount the upper back plate of the seat tank on the bottom of the engine mount plate the seat tank is like falling to the front. Other thing is that the two aluminum tube that holds the seat tank front side is to long. Does any one had the same problem? :(

Jose, that's just a part of most modifications. It sounds to me like you'll just have to suck it up and build the parts from scratch to make everything work properly. Take your time and be very deliberate and it should work out okay. Make cardboard templates first, if you have to. Measure 14 times if you have to, before you drill that hole, or make that cut.

If you are talking about that one (The Macarena package) it was probabily cut to fit and now is too short. Gotta make anoter one!

Heron: yes that is the one. You won't belive the make over I did to that first time use by Dr. Igor Bensen seat tank, or I think is was first time use by Christopher Columbus or, no,I think it was fist use by Jesus on his gyro to cross the Red Sea :D :D !Verry old one.
Ja! Ja! Sorry, I am just joking :D Thank's to them I have a seat tank! :D

If you see it now you won't belive it. Belive me: " IS ALIVE! IS ALIVE! "
But what tube you say that you cut?

I did not . . .the previous owner did. And it is the U shaped seat mount, it is longer when new and after the adjustments you cut the excess off.
The Vedas, the oldest book, describes a rotary aircraft and I think that is the oldest and this tank was not part of it! :D
It was ugly I know, lots of use and abuse I think It had a cover . . .
see you

Jose,

I have the u-frame mounted to the horizontal angle using black nylon saddles. They should take up the 1/2" space you have with the seat back attached to the upper engine mount. I think I got them through Aircraft Spruce. You would have to grind the flat parts to match the amgle of the bolt, but it's not hard.

Here is a picture, but it's kinda fuzzy. I'll try to take a better picture tomorrow.

Jose,

it depends on the diameter of the U-tube. There are different saddles for for different tubes.

That U-seat mount is from an older Air Command, I don't know the differences in sizes between an AC and a KB. Anyway it seems to me that is a problem in lenght or I have to read that post again?
I had pics from all the saddles, tube caps etc but they are now in Brazil with my pc.
Wait . . .I have one here, let me find it and post a pic.
