On my modified RAF 2000 I have a foot brake on the left and would like to add some type of handle/hand brake from the right side.

Does anyone have any cute ideas? I have seen one constructed from redi-bar.

Wayne Hubbs has a nice hand brake in his RAF. A picture was posted somewhere?!

Maybe he can find it or post another foto?!

Cheers :)

I had to put one on me wasa, coz the 914 dont idle very slow. :(
Very simple [ wot else from a SCG ;)] just pinched the ratchit handle outa an old '64' modle Toyota LC and use it to pull a cable round a pully mounted on the frunt of the keel n back onto the break pedle.
Works a treat. :)

Hi,
I shortened the floor stick shift from a very old Chevy (couple bucks at the bone yard); I gave it a nice arch, welded it into the foot brake an put on a shifter knob. Works great. If you want I can go out and take some pictures.

I would appreciate any ideas.

Hi,
It truly is a small world. I took a couple pictures of my hand brake today. I extended the end of the stick shift into the lower part of of the foot brake but at a reduced diameter. I welded it to the foot brakes in the side opening. The stick shift bends but you have to convince it a little. (I did not use any heat) I don't think I could do without it. The small piece of rubber hose at top is a bummer and makes the top easier to grab.
