I can't find my Rotorcraft magazine with the Mentone area motels listed. Is the information somewhere on this forum or hidden somewhere on the PRA web site?
If not, will someone please list them here for me and others to use.
Yes, I know it is rather late to be making reservations, but now is better than after I get there. Thanks.

Chris,
I made reservations at the Comfort Inn, which looks like it is right next door to the Super 8.

Chris, I'm not even sure that Super 8 has a pool! I'm also staying at Comfort Suites and I know they have one. And yes, they are right next to each other and within site of a Wal-Mart and within walking distance of several fast food places and a Mexican restaraunt. This area is on the West side of Rochester and on downtown there is a interesting and typical small mid-western family place that is good for breakfast. And then of course there is Jamie Bodie's favorite place in Mentone which I can't remember the name of but it isn't hard to find.
If any of you that have not been there before need to find the shortcut to the PRA airport without driving the long way thru Mentone then catch me and we can make arrangements for me to lead you out there.

Thanks Dean, We would love to know the shortcut , we got lost everytime we tried to find the airport. We will look for you.
My wife and I are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Warsaw. Does anyone know the address of the Mentone airport, so I can use Mapquest to find out how to get there?
If not, how do we find the airport once we get to Mentone?
Thanks,
Mark

Mark: Just go south out of Mentone on the main blacktop about a mile or two...I forget....but watch for a sign and go west. You wont miss it.
By the way...I have reservations in Rochester for wed..thurs. and friday night. I am going to cancel wed and thurs...so if you need those two nights....or anyone else here...let me know I will just turn them over.

Don't know much about camping at Mentone, but I would suspect it has to be much better than staying at some distant motel. Camping out on the field and being able to stay up late and get up early with your fellow gyro friends is the way to go. It is best to have a motorhome, but a nice tent will do just fine. OR just rent a RV for the week and you then have all the comforts of home and still be on site all the time.

GyroRon, Does this mean your going to Mentone now? I hope you make it!! I will be camping with my 9 year old son Austin in a little two man tent. He can't wait! Ron, Let me know if your going to make it and I will save a spot next to my camping area. We can stay up late and talk gyros all night. I hope you do what you can to make it to Mentone, even if you have to fly the Pacer. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Mark, Stan is right you won't miss the airport! However seeing the signs can be a problem so keep a close lookout.
Coming from Warsaw means you will be turning left or South on the road Stan mentioned. You will then turn right or West as the signs direct you and the airport will be on your right.
Stan and Dean,
Thanks for the directions, I'll have Cathy help me watch for the signs! Hopefully as we get closer, we can see some machines in the air to help get us there.

Darrel I am not going to make it this year. I need to stay and work. still thinking of taking Friday off and flying up in the Pacer but that depends alot on the weather. I am not IFR rated yet! I do hope all of you guys can come to ROC. I got that week off :)

GyroRon,
I understand. Hope the weather turns out nice enough so you can maybe make it on Friday. I will keep some drinks on ice if you plan on staying the night. Looking forward to meeting you if the weather lets you make it up.
