View Full Version : Experimental Video of Rotorhead in Flight using Oregon Scientific AT18 mini camera

I made this video on a whim and it actually turned out watch-able!

The Oregon Scientific AT18 camera was Duct Taped with out any foam for anti-vibration to the mast of my Twinstarr looking up at the rotorhead.

I did not expect anything to turn out, but it did!

I was impressed with the way the camera kept clear even a high vibration environment with fast moving objects.

The tempeture was very cold also.

I just went back to YouTube and watched this from work.

Definite reduction in quality when uploaded to YouTube from the original.

The video is still worthwhile because is shows fast moving objects in various light conditions.

The next video I'd like to see is from a camera mounted on top of the rotor head, or next to it, pointed down the length of a rotor blade so the blade flex can be seen in flight. Might need stronger duct tape though.

Your mast doesn't seem to shake much, but that's good.
