I've seen numerous Helicycles flying at Homer's each year, by Mr. Bell himself. Everything that I've heard, read and seen indicate it to be an excellent ship. Personally, I wouldn't have a one-place machine because I like the companionship and comaraderie a 2-place ship provides. However, the scuttlebutt is that Heilcycle may come out with a 2-place ship at some point, at which time my 162F will go on the market.

Mark: I have heard almost unanimous great reports from the Helicycle. There were a few instances of RFI shutting down the turbine..but they said that was fixed in 2005 with better shielding and awareness.
I can see your point on wanting a two seater....I had one with the last two gyrocopters. My largest concern is liability exposure and my wife does not like to fly at all. 95% of my flying is solo and the single seat aspect of the Helicycle is perfect for me. I would guess however that most would like the second seat as you prefer and I totally understand that. If I were not buying my Helicycle for some reason...I would end up with probably a Sportcopter single seat like Mike Bantams. My insurance on my SparrowHawk to keep that second seat covered was going through the roof!
