Howdy ya'll. . .again. I've been off the forum for the better part of a year now. I once was Chris from Lafayette, LA. I'm now Chris from Ft. Bragg, NC. The last time I posted, I was about 20 hours into my PPL and looking to get some gyro instruction. Now. . .I'm still the same. I've moved up to Ft. Bragg since joining the Army last June. I'm in the 82nd Airborne Div. as part of Rear Det. and won't be deploying for quite some time (Army Strong!. . .While mopping floors and mowing grass). So while I wait, I'm really interested in finding out if there's a gyro instructor anywhere within a few hundred miles of here. Or even just some friendly folks with a common interest.
In the meantime, I'll be looking for a flight instructor in Fayetteville this week to get back to work (and knock off tons of rust) on my PPL.
I hope everyone is well.
Take care.

All the way and then some .
There should be a flying club next door at the Air Force Base . I think ?
There is an Air Force Base next door as I recall . they usually have nice planes to rent . C-150 , C152 , C-172 , T-34A , mabe even a T-34C .
And at very good prices at least they used to .
Sorry I can't help you with the Gyro CFI your on your owen with that , good luck . And if you don't mop them floors and mow that grass then the Terrorist's win .
Welcome back And thank you for your service .

Well Gary, I reckon I'll have to drive on over to Pope AFB and inquire about rentals. I might do that tomorrow. . .before the Superbowl of course. :) I can knock my PPL out in a couple of months and have a gyro rating on it in short order as well.
Ron, I'll have to see about stopping by sometime when I get a weekend to myself.
I'll have to give Mr. Neal a holler sometime as well, once I get started on the backstretch of my license for fixedwings. Thanks animal for the info.
And thank you everyone for the warm second welcome.
