I could not wait to share the news. I picked up a gyro today!!!:flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame:
I found, after a long and exhaustive search an original, unbuilt sparrowhawk kit.
The previous owner did not start the kit. It is new, in the boxes. Been sorted and inventoried and that is it!:D
I will be taking it home from South Carolina over the next few days to Salt Lake City.
The bad news it that I made a promise to my wife that I would not start building till I get the house painted and the sprinklers in the yard this spring. :ohwell:
Still very exciting!
If anyone has any advise regarding the original Sparrowhawk Kit, please feel free to share. Either here or on my regular email.
I do also promise to share pictures when I get started.

Congratulation's
I did the same thing and bought a SparrowHawk 1 kit that only had about 25? hours build time on it. Did you get a early kit with the 2.2 or a 2.5 ? There are some things you may upgrade if you got a early kit. Dan Banks has been great to work with a Groen Bros. Feel free to email if you want to know what changes I have on my build.

Heath,
That is simply great news!!! We are all very excited for you. The Sparrow Hawk is a solid and stable Gyro that should be perfect for what you want to do. And with several people from GBA in our chapter, you should have some good resources to help you get it upgraded with all the latest changes and upgrades they have come out with. I can't wait for you to get back to Utah so I can come over and help you unload the parts.
Everybody!!!! See Utah Grow!!!! We are going to have a real group of Rotorheads out here. Ain't it GREAT!!!!!!

Congrats!
Now the adventure begins in earnest! It is really smart to get the "little things" out of the way first. You never know what curve balls life is gonna throw at you, so the less you have on your plate the more you can focus on your build. So happy for the both of you and remember to have fun during the build.

Well after a long journey from South Carolina to Salt Lake City, Utah, my gyro kit is home.
3 1/2 days of driving and the baby is in the garage.
Now a few weeks of honeydo's and I will be able to start on the build.
I look foward to sharing the progress with all of you.
This WILL be fun!!!
This picture is what the kit looked like when I picked it up Monday:

I remember when my first gyro arrived home in my garage.
I kept looking in on it about once an hour just to make sure it wasn't just a dream (and to sit in it while making buzzzz, wop, wop, wop sounds).
