That was my wife (the camera woman) enjoying it she has never been that close to a take off. She is a hooter. I get the blades to about 165-170 on average.

Looking good Joe ! That was a short takeoff run. What was the wind speed?
Did that downwind turn cause you any grief?

Excellent! Joe,
..and I'd much rather hear engine and rotor noise in a video with a good, well-earned "hoot" than some lame song I never liked in the first place.

Okay, so I have always loved take-off's of any aircraft, whether I'm in it or watching it, and God knows, I've always been vocal....!! I get such a kick out of watching you all take off, especially my husband, knowing how much he loves it and has wanted to do it for so long. I probably do the same when I take off, for that matter, except I don't have the radio mike on at the time!
I'll (maybe/maybe not) try to contain myself when shooting other videos!!
And in my defense, Joe got me this great new camera for Christmas and so I'd had it about 2 hours and it was my first video ever! I was still trying to figure out some of the settings and thought I could adjust the zoom in and out (which you can't on video mode), so I was making it jump all over unfortunately.
I'm most likely to continue to hoot and holler anytime I see any of you take off and land!

Hello Joe and Laura.
Nice video. Excellent picture quality and shoot.
Would like to see and hear the landing hoot and holler too.
Thank You for sharing, enjoy and fly safe.
Best Wishes.

Good video. Which camera did you get?

Tim, It was a canon A720 8 meg 6x optical. Ron there was no wind at all so that wasn't a down wind turn it was a no wind turn.

That's very good video for a still camera. They're getting better and better. My daughter got a Flip video camera for Christmas that records mpg4 video and the quality is better than the Scientific Atlantic ATC2K camera that I've been experimenting with. Here's a link to the Flip video camera.
