"You had moved the control rods inboard one hole, at the mid-point arms. How did you find the in-flight responses? Heavier and/or stiffer? Better or worse than before the move?
Are you still using this configuration?"

What I actually did was to move the upper control tubes lower rod ends in to the next hole, leaving the top rod ends of the lower control tubes in the original hole.

What this did was to reduce the sensitivity in pitch. If I remember correctly the stick originally moved 10" from front to rear, now it moves almost 12". This is closer to the recomended joy stick travel, and essential without a stab.

It also makes the side movement of the stick greater, and depending on the person can hit their legs.

I then made a shorter cross arm where the control rods are attached to the torque tube.

The handling qualities are not what I did this for.

I did this to remove the pressure required to push the stick forward against the trim springs whilst on the ground, and yes I am still using this arrangement.

The Raf, IMHO, should have a torque tube offset of 11/16" instead of the
3/4" that Raf uses. A 1/16" does not sound much, BUT, it is 8.33333 % and that is quite a large change.

I only found all this out while conducting my Hybrid testing with a variety of rotor blades and torque tube offsets.

These are of the scissors, or whatever you would call them.
