I would LOVE to have a 2-seat gyro on floats. Every time I bring it up though the old salts tell me that it is a PPO waiting to happen and your in for a suprize when you pre-rotate.

I think it was on this forum.. I suggested a drop-down rudder to fix the pre-rotation problem and a design that brings the thrust line down to help compensate for the floats.

Now I am just waiting for someone to build me one! :)

I spoke with a california gyronaut the gentleman who bought the skywheels company, his name I believe is Jim Lezile. or something like it.

He claims that he worked out the whole gyro on floats thing took him about a year. You might go to the skywheels web site and email him for more info. He is a busy man with movie production effects company, fiberglass molds and such.. so I believe the blades are on hold and he does not have the time to put pen to paper and educate all of us cause when I spoke with him I told him everything I was told by the greats of the gyro world. Well, lets just say, never say never or "can't" . He claims to of done it, even put a scuba hooka setup under the seat......... Can you picture him taxiing into the marina for some unleaded......?

However I am sure if you go out there to see him you could get a years worth of education for a minimal cost... I just might have to do that myself.
