area for videos

Todd or Mike, seems there have been some great Videos and links posted on the Forum in the past, several I would love to find again but are at least a year old or more.

I am thinking it would be cool to have an area just to post videos, this would be great for the newbies as well as us to be able to find the video links and not have to search the whole forum for them.

what do you think? could this be done?

I think all you need is 'sticky' thread where folks can post their youtube
links. I think it is good idea. It might get Stan Foster to buy a video camera
and blow our minds.

I don't know if this forum software will support a video library but even if it did Todd would probably not implement it because of the massive bandwidth requirements would interfere with the forum.

I have setup a wiki and sharepoint site for rotorcraft and here you can share any photos, videos or files up to 2 Gig in size with no restrictions other then it can not be material that is not covered by fair use law (public domain or expired copy rights).

Please feel free to upload and download from the site.

Choose video library from the menu on the side or the top.

If you wish to upload something just send me an email and I will make you a contributor account.

Tim I was refering to where people can post the links to their videos in one area instead of all over the flying photos area.
that way they would be easy for the newbies as well as all the other forum memebers that might be trying to find the link to a video they had seen in the past.

Kai. I think old or new Videos would be good, just a place where we can find the Videos with out haveing to go back and search old posts.

one of my favorites is Gyro ( minigun man's) inflight video from his farm.in that one you can hear the blades the whole time and the sound of his engine as he flys, great video for the newbie to hear what it really sounds like in the pilots seat. hope he posts the link to it soon.

Just try to put something in the title so that people know what they're clicking on. Not just "Check out this really cool video!".

And please everyone, leave the off-topic stuff in the off-topic section.
