:) several weeks ago I aask to see if there were expert in lycoming engine but didnt got good feed back. In my quest of solving problems I like to share my findings.
problem
engine insreade RPM when throtle is reduce.
Solution:
change the intake rubber coupling .
problem squek noice that sound as belt sliping.
check belt.
use a tube in your ear as an stetoscope and locate the source. If is on the cylinder the you have a bad intake gasket.
So if you change the rubber coupling change the gasket also.
This will give you peace in mind.
