Hello Rotarywing members.
I'm looking into the Sparrowhawk II machine and finishing my ground school.

Then I will be able to train on my own machine. Any advice would be greatly,
appreciated. I spoke on the phone with AAI. They seem like a great bunch.

Thank you for the acceptance and use of this forum..

Welcome, Jason. Are you planning on building or are you looking for a gyro ready to fly. I believe there are a couple sparrowhawks currently for sale, although I believe the ones I've seen listed are not the Sparrowhawk II model.

Hello Tim,

I appreciate all the videos you have posted. They have contributed to
my flying bug. Especially the River Run....

About the AAI yes I want to build myself. I want to do a nice job. I would
like to find out how the thing ticks. And I would also have a builder assist
program. I want to sort of be in control to the ship of my vision.

This might be a stupid question but. I was thinking of Windsheild wipers.
This would be for looks. But here in Canada we can get wet type snow.

I know you really don't need wipers. Most Helicopters or planes never use them. But I want to be different.

Its really good to meet you...

Wipers may be a gyro first. I've never seen any on one. Will you try some snow skiis?

I dont think I could do the snow ski... But that was a good pic. My question would be where would I get a windshield wiper mod kit from?

Im looking also for some gyrocopter pilots in Canada. I talked with Emil G. AAI B.C. dealer. He has a machine out in Medicine Hat Alta. which is
about 5 hours from here. That is also where I will train.

What do think about the sparrowhawk?

I'm not a sparrowhawk expert so I'll leave the advice to some of them. I rode in one a couple years ago and thought it was great but that's the only hands-on experience I have.

I appreciate all the help. I'll probaby do a post in the sparrowhawk section
when I get a chance. The currency exchange is good right now. So I would like to get this thing going.

Thanks for introducing yourself and helping me out. The nice thing is my wife
also wants to do this with me so I can truly be thankful that this is her dream too....you should check out Canada some day. My wife and I checked out Florida. It was a blast. Very nice place.

Jason, I grew up in Maine. I've been North of the border several times. My brother goes on some big snowmobile rides across the border every winter. I looked at Regina on Google Earth and your area looks like you've got a lot of open fields around you.

On our Saskatchewan License plates is says Land of the Living Skies.

I grew up in a open field country about 2 hours northeast if Regina. And my wife's folks live about 20 minutes from my front door. So yes very open area.

I liked the GPS system you found on ebay. I need something small.
I'm looking at the Garmin and some other avionics right now.

This is going to take me a while. But i think i'm hooked up with some good folks here.
