Hey all,

Well its been a while, so long that I have forgetten my original password, and changed my email, so I cannot log on under my old user name.

Its great to see so many of the people that I enjoyed conversing with still here, looking forward to getting back into the discussion.

The reason for the long absence, I went back to school to get my engineering qualifications, and with my studies nearly at their end, I will soon be able to call myself an engineer!!!!!!! :)

Look forward to speaking with you all again,

Fly Safe,

Christian

Hey Andre, well Im pretty keen to get back into it. I havent really flown since I started my studies. I have been looking over my old helicopter designs, but I dont think I will carry any of those forward. I know alot more now, so a clean sheet is probably better. Plus most of my old designs were coaxials, and with that russian helicopter, I think that that section of the market may be to small for 2 designs.
Im thinking about building a gyro or a helo that is already designed, primarily because it will get me in the air sooner, and help with flight time. But at the moment Im not to sure which way I will jump.
I also have an idea for a VTOL, but I will have to build an RC version for verification first.
How have you been going, I see you have your touring helicopter coming along.

Coaxial is a good concept for private flying, the world is wide enough for at least ten different coaxials!...

Christian,

If you have been out of the Rotor Craft scene for a while there are going to be lots of new developments for you to catch up on. If you are thinking of a single seat design you should check out "thebutterflyllc.com" and see what Larry Neal is doing. I think you would also be interested in what Jay Carter is doing over at Carter Copter. If you are thinking cabin class 2 seaters, there are several new models. Sparrow Hawk II just came out with a new quick build kit, and very soon you will be able to get a new Sport Copter 2 place that is really exciting. There is also a very nice model called the Xenon but as of yet it doesn't come in a kit version. All in all, it's a great time to be getting back into Gyro's. Best of luck!!!
