Here are some pictures of the new lighter stab I am pruducing for the RAF market. It is the Larry Martin design, but 1/2 the weight. Each side weighs 5 lbs. That is a savings of 10 lbs.over the original stab that many of us fly. The builder is incorporating space age materials with building techniques used in boat and racecar design. The result is a strong , lightweight stab designed to provide an airfoil that produces a downward pull on the keel.It has a wide chord simulating the advantage of being mounted further aft to provide more leverage and stability. Having flown this design for many years, I can attest to the performance and added stability it will provide a RAF 2000 autogyro. The stab should arrive with a gel coat finish like a new boat ready for your paint with little or no sanding required by the owner. The first stab is being shipped Monday. If anyone has a desire to obtain one of these fine stabs, private email me.
One other thing. They look real nice mounted and flying.

Stan. Thank you for your comments. People constantly ask me where they can get that stab. Ihad the molds and rights to produce it for 2 years. Just to much on the plate. The other issue was finding someone to build them. Steve Osborne wanted to try and he susceeded in building 2 and his stabs were super light and strong. I knew he was onto something. We knew now it could be done. I eventually found a small fiberglass company that pruduced racing car fiberglass bodys and aircraft parts for homebuilts. I visited the plant and they agreed to take on the project. The turn around time from purchase to delivery should be less than 2 weeks. Eventually, once I size up the market, we will have them shelf ready to ship. As it stands now, your order will be custom built within a few days, then drop shipped from the fabricator. You can even choose your color, just so it is white!. Actually we will offer different colors as that can be instituted into the gel coat. But it would be difficult to match a special color if your machine is already painted.
Stan, one other comment. As the market for the RAF is so limited, my expectations are also limited. But once this shows a profit,(if possible), I want to produce stabs for other brands like Air Command and Benson. The production costs are very expensive. Steve had over $500 in materials and 2 days labor to build one stab. Naturally a fiberglass company can do it quicker, but costs are very high. I guess you could say this effort at this point is just to keep some promises to people I told I would do my best to get them a quality stab that would add safety to their flying fun. A little corney, but true.

Larry,
I am glad to see the stabs availble to the public again. I have referred several people to you over the past two years. I hope they will find what they are looking for.

Sounds like good news for unstabbed RAF owners.
