G'Day Tim,
Seems like forever since we met at Mentone 2005 drinking Triple Filtered Bundy Rum. Yes Easter at Lameroo was special.
The next day after that video was shot, I developed partial paralysis of the left arm and hand...2 1/2 months later...two discs removed and titanium plate with 6 screws in the front fusing three levels and 1" of bone cut out of the rear of four vertebrae.
That was 7 weeks ago. Pain is gone, left arm and hand slowly starting to work again. Planning another visit Stateside 09, hope to catch up again then.
Fly Safe,
Mitch.

Mitch,
Looking good !!! That looked like a great place to be flying Gyros and a good crowd to be doing it with. I can't wait until we have enough Gyroheads in my area to pull off something like that around here. Here's to a full and speedy recovery!!!!

Mitch,
Good looking gyro. What is the length of the mast on that gyro? Also, how tall is it from the ground to the top of the rotor head?

G'Day Doug & Rehan,
Glad you enjoyed it. Lameroo is one of our CFI's wheat farms. Gyro Heaven, two main runways intersecting at 90 degrees and a third comming in at the 45 degree position. You could take off and land almost anywhere as the wheat was not set. Great place for low level fun.
Hey Tim,
Mast length 67 1/2"
Distance from ground to top of head towers 88"
Therefore, clearance height is 7' 4" (88") and I built my shed door to 7' 6" opening.
Larry has achieved the same thing with Monarch with GFLG.
Cheers,
Mitch

Thanks Mitch. I'm in the process of making plans to get a trailer built and I wanted to make sure it would be tall enough if I got a different gyro.

Adjustable top perhaps?
A cut out with fabric cover?

Cheers Tim.
Another gyro Eh! One that might just be about 7'4" tall.....:D :welcome:
Butterfly really is a joy to fly, have not flown a Monarch, though I expect it's pretty much like a Butterfly.....on steroids! A pure 'fangin' machine and very stable.
Whatever you get I hope you enjoy flying it.

No plans to get anything else right now. Just trying to plan for the future.
