What is the reputation of Aeros?
Check this site - http://windspire.com/aeros/
The Aeros is actually a helicopter designed in the early sixties. The designer was Art Weilage. I published Homebuilt Rotorcraft magazine for sixteen years and was continually looking for an example of that helicopter flying---no such luck.
Windspire is actually Vortech, previously Helicraft which has been selling plans for numerous old and often unproven designs for around forty years. I have seen plans for the Weilage helicopter. They appear to be pretty well complete, but buyer beware. The ship was designed to utilize a VW engine. I would suggest you replace it with a Subaru auto engine or possibly a Rotax 912 or similar engine.

Don may be concerned with low power and not so much reliability.

Don, I don't know if it flew or not but a few month ago one of these that looked like it had been sitting for years was on E-bay. I was really suprised to see one. I don't remember if it sold or not. but it looked mostly complete.
kind of neat to see an old part of home built rotorcraft history.
note the engine looks stock as pulled out of the car.
speaking of history, I have always liked the helicom Commuter Jr.
and most of us know what that evolved to....:)
