Hi all, I am hoping that I can get the answers to these questions as I would like to know how a true centre line thrust, single place gyro really behaves compared to mine. No point in answering unless you are actualy a Dominator owner and fly regularly. No point in answering if your knowledge is theoretical. In fact you might have to go out and fly to confirm the answers.
OK First question. you are flying along trimmed for your chosen cruise speed, say 55 mph, you then reduce the throttle to 3000rpm for a landing but dont adjust the trim WHATT SPEED ARE YOU NOW DOING (without pushing the stick)??
Question 2 : You have not adjusted the trim from where it was in the air when you were in cruise at 55mph, but you are now descending on low revs for a landing, at the last minute you decide to go around and not land, you apply full throttle, (without altering the trim) what speed are you now doing(if you dont pull the stick back)??
Question 3 : Your trim is set again for 55mph in cruise because, you have not adjusted it from last time that you were flying along high up straight and level, but you are now on taking off and climbing out on full power WHAT SPEED ARE YOU DOING ON CLIMB OUT (without pulling or pushing the stick)??
Thanks in advance. Mike Concannon, Galway, Ireland

I use 60 MPH in my Dominator for climb out, cruise and descent. Once trimmed it will maintain that speed. Changes is throttle setting will determine climb, or descent. Speed may vary a little bit when throttle settings are first done, but the craft will stabalize quickly to the trimmed speed. In my Dominator, I can take off, stabalize at 60, add power to climb, reduce power to cruise, reduce power to decend without adjusting trim or touching the stick. With CL thrust, power reduction will LOWER the nose. Added power will RAISE the nose and stabalize. I have talked to Dominator owners that claim to be able to fly the pattern with only power changes and only touch the stick to flare for landing. I have not tried this myself, but I think it is possible.
