Fellow rotorhead,
In researching tandem rotor helicopters I never realized how often this topic is posted/revisited. It is my estimate, that it comes up at least once a year on this forum and other forums as well.
What is the most interesting is how so many sub-topics always appear. There are the multi-blade rotor groups and their "how to" respondants. Then the dynamicists, engineers, mechanics/builders and so on.
What is evident is the need for a group of interested individuals, like the "Ask First" folks, to meet and solve these problems/needs/advancements. Maybe, once a year meet, at Mentone, with gyro manufacturers to discuss future production of larger rotors/rotorheads, multi-blade rotors systems,
super-prerotators and other general advancements.
I believe the gyro community wants gyros heavier than 1200 pounds and 3-4 blade rotor systems. I could be wrong...what do you think?
