Hi,
Just looking at available blades and sending out some emails. It looks like the Sport Copter blades (with hub bar) are the only replacement for a 30 foot system. The Xenon blades are very expensive (info from Tom Milton). I'm not sure about special order Dragon wings (? 29 ft.) or rotardyne. Anybody else have more information? Thanks

Dave,

I think you can still get blades from RAF. I had a set on order, and they called and said there was a blemished set available. I got them for a reduced price, and 2 months earlier than expected.

Based on that conversation, it sounds like they may still be taking orders.

Give them a call(expensive), or email and ask them. They're still very good about returning correspondence.

Oz Revolution Rotors by Rob Patroney. 29' or 30'. Total composite blade with 1" or 1.25" thick alloy hub bar. The only metal in the blades is for chord balance. Carbon woven rope main spar.
Tapered from 9" at the blade root to 8" at the tip BUT not linear. Slightly thiner at the tip than the root, and Chuck B you will love this, a 1 degree positive twist. 8H12 airfoil and so easy to hand start.

I am not sure about the exact price at the momen, approx. AUD$ 3k=USD$2,587 ????

Aussie Paul. :)

Hi Paul,

I will PM you the phone number.

Aussie Paul. :)

Being the latest member of the Rotor Club for Men (but, not the president :)) who are in desperate need of a rotor transplant, I'd appreciate the contact info, too.

All the Best, to All the Best,
Jim

P.S.: Hey, look, I wrote a short, to-the-point e-mail, Ma! DOH! And I was doing so well ...

Anyone have any guess as to shipping costs on say 150 lbs,. surface and/or air, from Aus. to the West coast of the U.S.?!

Dang

I thought they were carbon fiber blades. How much do they weigh...???
Mine weigh 38 lbs each plus the Hub bar.

That's real close Thom. Mine weigh with teeter bolt hardware...99 plus...so I just figure 100 lbs.

Metal will be lighter.

Anyone have a good total weight on the 30 ft. Sport Copters?!

Cheers :)
