Hi All,
With Oshkosh and Mentone now a fresh memory for those lucky enough to go (three of my Helicycle buddies showed up at Mentone, along with some of my new friends here - I hope I can make it to both events next year), it's time for us rotorheads Out West to start planning for the El Mirage PRA gathering the last weekend of September. I hope there will be other RAFters coming out of the woodwork in the Southwest, or otherwise making an appearance there, especially since I haven't been able to find/confirm a single other RAF owner in Californ-aye-yay. I hope to be able to bring The Hulk down to represent us, and maybe the Helicycle, depending on my (re)construction progress on both (not for flying, though - gotta leave _something_ to do for next year  ).
Are there people who usually go to El Mirage that I should make sure I seek out and meet? My local (Livermore) PRA chapter acquaintances are all helicopter builders (mostly Rotorways), although I'm sure that there will be more than enough other gyro folks there who may be able to point me in the right direction(s) to those most knowledgeable about gyros, in general, and don't have an axe to grind for/against any particular kit(s).
Hope to see/meet at least one of you there, and I'll report what I see.
All the Best,
Jim
