Does anyone have a picture of the pre-rotator cable set up that Lisa Devries had on her RAF 2000 to get more presure on the clutch. I have seen a picture before on the forum but can't find it now.
Thanks

More than double the contact force on the driver, with the same grip force at the stick handle.
Cheers :)

Isn't that pulley just turning the cable through 180 degrees.

Yes, but think of a block and tackle setup. Every time you add a pulley your reducing the workload for you and increasing the force on the cable.

You refer to a block and tackle set up, I agree with that.
If you look at this set up the hook of the block and takle would hang from the pulley, which would double your mehanical advantage and half your mechanical efficiency i.e. you have to move the cable that you are pulling twice far but you double the force that you exert.
In this set up all that happens is the cable bends 180 degrees.

Your rite Ronnie, theres no extra mechanical advantage gained just by runing the cable round a pully n back. For the life of me i cant see why youd complicate a simple setup by do'n wots been dun in the pick.
If you want to double the pressure like i did, you need to be pulling twice the cable length for the same amount of movement in the thust yoke.
The setup pictured dosnt do that.
BTW, it would be very simple to rearange that setup to make it a 'double pull'.

Thanks Birdy, I thought I was going crazy.
Please would you show us how it's done.
Thanks

Im not real smart on the pooters mate, so ill try to 'fix' the one in the pic.
Lookn at the one in the pic, reroot the sheath to where it is sposed to be, [anchered in the hole on the top of the yoke] and run the cable round the pully and ancher it onto the clutch yoke as well. This way youv got the cable pulln and the sheath pushn. Equal force x 2.
Simple.

Thanks
I'll give that a try
