I have read just about all of the postings for the Horizontal Stabs, and have yet to see a good solid answer to the question of where they are available, and a posting of the photo's and design names.

Hi Ron;
I see in your bio, ref. to the RAF. Do you have one?
I have the Ken J. stab on my machine. It's a very effective stab and I like it, however, there will be no more fabricated. It would not correct the wig-wag when flying with the doors installed. Otherwise it worked beautiful.
I don't know if any keel mounted stabs are being fabricated here in the States. Some are being made in Oz tho.
As a suggestion, why not contact some of the RAF drivers and ask for any information of where they got their stab. Larry Boyer and Steve Osborne are working on a new design for fabrication. How far along they are is the question?!
What's your status with your machine????
Cheers :)
About the only horizontal stab being offered in the USA for the RAF 2000 is the one used by Air Command on their machines. It has a five foot span and has 18 inch tip fins. It is basically the same stab that I designed and sold for my 2 and 3 place ships and we also built a few for Air Command before they made a similar product in Kevlar and glass instead of all fiberglass.
The Air Command stab is one piece and needs to be mounted on an extended keel which places the stab behind the vertical fin and underneath the rudder. The extended keel provides much more stability than mounting the stab under the vertical fin as some have done. The tip fins solve the yawing problem with the doors on. You can find the stab listed on Air Command's website: www.aircommand.com. Price is $850. You can also get the 20 inch long 2x4 keel extension kit from Air Command.

Hi Don;
Sorry, my goof. The Air Command stab completely slipped my mind. My longevity, I suppose.
Cheers :)
