Birdy: I finally found some cattle tonight while cruising low in Illinois. I thought I would try your cattle mustering. Must not have your technique down yet  . They barely looked up and just kept chewing.

When I fly around here the deer freak and run away.

The horses sometimes get testy other times don't care.

I always try to stay far away from any livestock I think might loose it and damage themselves or property.

At Bensen days I was amazed how I could fly at high speed 100' off the ground the cows would not even bother to look up.

If we can get birdy to attend Mentone I would like to see him in action! Maybe we can get a local farmer to co-operate :D

GREAT PICTS!

Tim: I do watch the animals and make sure they arent spooked. Those deer I took a picture of last week didnt so much as barely look up as I kept circling above them. I really think they are used to gyros around here. :D

The deer around here won't let me chase them. They run off into the deep woods before I even get near.

I did have to avoid a horse on the runway once.

O.K.. I got one too. Here I am, mustering the "Zonies" (Arizonians), with a few "New Mexicans" thrown in, who clog our freeways each summer to escape the heat, toward the ocean.

How do you tell them apart? Do you brand them? :)

The New Mexicans have to drive further, so they're more dehydrated than the Zonies. They both sport ugly license plates too.

and final. Did you see the bullet holes ? Those cattle farmers are mean spirited. After reading another thread earlier, I think I will nuke em!

Glider (trailer), SEL and Balloon. Larry, try some Sportcopter blades if you ever get a chance. That lateral blur of your panel will disappear. That photo pretty clearly shows that what we percieve as "cabin hop" from RAF blades is really lateral vibes. The "EIS," vertical card compass and transponder really show it well.

Hmmm........ I hope you took that pic from a long way off with a zoom lens Stan, coz if you took it closeup and she had that look in her eye I may have to withdraw my invitation to you to help me muster me cows.[is that her hubby in the second pic??, he looks pissed.]

Birdy: I just happened to see those cows on a website. I wish I knew how I could have pasted my RAF dash onto the pictures. :D

Ken, sorry for the blur. That was my fault, not the cabin shake. I am very happy with my RAF blades. They have just a tiny bit of shake. I have the new 24th generation blades for my new one stored under my truck in the garage. I want to fly them soon to see if there is a difference. The new ones will ultimately end up on the gyro I keep once I get the new one finished. One gyro will have to go . If the conversion works like I think it will, I will change the older one over to the conversion. Then offer it or the new one for sale.
