I'm back from Wauchula already. Dave said all I need is a calm day and no spectators :cool:
The Tandem flew great, and there were no surprises at all. By all accounts, the single should be even better. After flying in the open machine, I can say that I'm pretty happy I got the pod for mine. Open was fun for the short rides we took, in the nice warm temps, but I don't think I'd want it full time.
The final 15 minutes or so was spent with Dave in the front seat. With all the time I've spent training, I haven't really had a lot of "fun", and I keep hearing what these things can do. With that in mind, I requested a "show me what she's got" demo. Let's just say I wasn't even remotely disappointed, even during the few seconds were were actually ABOVE the trees :party: I won't be trying this any time soon, but it sure was fun!
I'm trying to arrange the airworthiness inspection for next weekend, but first flight won't happen until at least the weekend after that.
