Check out the Panel!!! got to go buy some screws to hold the instruments in, and still waiting for GRT to ship my EIS - they told me it would go out last monday and it still hadn't gotten shipped as of this morning  -
Anyway the old wood panel was junk and I thought I would do one out of carbon fiber but this I think looks the best.

Here is the man with the plan, Barry K. the guy who built the award winning gyrobee I took to Bensen Days. He did my panel and cheek plates. He is THE man!!! Thanks Barry :)

And yes that is a cigarette lighter outlet above the airspeed. I am going to use it to power my Garmin 195 I plan to install somewhere I find room for the ram mount, either above the panel or on it.... The EIS will also have a rotor tach built in and the three holes under the EIS will be the igntion and master switches. Still got room for a ashtray I think

Really looking good Ron. You are going way faster on this project than I thought you would. I'm wondering....whose mowing the lawns? :)

I have been thinking about putting a cig lighter plug on my 2-place when and if I ever get throught the testing phaze.
However, I have been pondering the concept of using the 12-volt accessory plug that BMW uses on their motorcycles. It is smaller and can deal with stress and vibrations better. You could fit 2 of them in the hole you drilled for the auto 12v accessory plug.

If it comes from BMW it will cost more than 10 of the normal sized 12 volt plugs and then you have to adapt all your cords to the new style ends. These are so cheap you just use them, the vibration can't hurt it anyway.

Ron,
I just saw the pictures above. IMHO, the piece of tubing that your throttle control is mounted to will need to be braced. It appears to me that it just won't be sturdy enough. If you plan to keep your hand on it at all times, and it works quite easily, you may get by with it. I like to be able to take my hand off, so I have mine set tight enough to hold the lever in any position I put it in. That requires good support.

Chuck I can try with all my might to pull or bend that tube and it won't budge.

That sounds good enough to me. It's kinda hard to tell sometimes from a pic. Thanx for the email about the belt. BTW, your Dom is looking great!

Ron: Beautiful work on your Dominator. Looks like she will be a nice flying machine. I especially like the dash and the shock system.
