I'm glad I found this forum, great place.

My name is Randal, and I'm a late comer to rotarcraft.... I particularly am taken by gyros. Hopefully, I'll be able to go down that road over the next year or so.

So, I'm about as "newb" as it gets.
:)

In any case, HI, and thanks for this great resource.

Welcome Aboard. Have you thought about which gyro you want to get into?

Thanks for the welcome...

Paul; Eventually I'll probably end up with a little wing or something similar, and I kinda wanna start with a gyrobee, but it may be one of those "it depends" things depending on what I find for instruction in Canada, which currently is a bit difficult to come by.
I've been fabbing in marine and performance automotive for around 20 years now so a build is definately how it'll go down in the end. Be fun to try something with wings that push the *other* direction for once.

Welcome aboard Randall.

Have fun. That's what it's all about.

Jim.

This is a testament to the power of the Internet. Years and years ago, we talk over e-mail about jet engine concepts and then we lose contact with each other; change e-mail addresses etc. Then suddenly up we pop as newbies in a rotorcraft forum -- practically within days of each other. Amazing. Randal, are you still forging swords these days?

Hi Bruno, yes, I'm doing the eccentric artist thing more and fabrication, at least for other folks, a lot less. The go-fast crowd is getting kinda stressfull to work for lately and I'm not as into all the travelling and stuff as I used to be. It's feeling like it's time to settle down and stay at home more.
