Anyone use anything besides a wooden prop on a VW powered gyro?

A friend is looking for a new prop, He has used Tennessee prop, Troyer, arrow, etc, was wondering if anyone used a 3 blade composite prop on a vw. I told him to call warp-drive, but just wondering if anyone has used anything besides 2 blade wood prop.

Arplast made a very efficient tri-prop for VW:

Hi Scott,
The july Custom Planes magazine has an article about vw engine failures and it has a short section about crankshaft/prop hub failures. It says composite 3 bladed props are too heavy for direct drive on a vw(especially with a poor quality forged or cast crankshaft) and that they torsionally overload the crank shaft causing it to fail prematurely. The article also says that Warp drive and Great Plains Aircraft don't recommend it.

He has been running a Tennessee prop with no problems, driving off the flywheel end. I will have him check with great plains, Thanks.
